The Middle School Teacher’s Role in Developing Career Ready Graduates
This online course is designed to expand and deepen teachers’ ability to effectively integrate college and career readiness skills and attributes into their curricula. While these skills are grounded in meeting all academic standards, Pennsylvania also requires the integration of Career Education and Work (CEW) Standards. Assuming that all classroom teachers are effectively utilizing Pennsylvania’s academic standards, the learning and activities embedded in this course align with the PA CEW Standards, specifically the grade eight benchmarks for each of the four areas: Career Awareness and Preparation, Career Acquisition, Career Retention and Advancement, and Entrepreneurship.
